It’s a wonderful place to stroll around and you can take stunning photos. These days, Santa Catalina is quite a hip area with plenty of charming cafes and restaurants to try out. While you are there, make sure to visit the Mercat de Santa Catalina. It’s the oldest food market in Palma bursting with colours and scents. It’s an experience strolling around there and you might as well stock up on some food supplies to bring back to your villa in Majorca.
2. You must go hiking in Majorca!
Majorca has beautiful nature and breathtaking hiking trails. There are two mountain ranges: Sierra de Tramuntana and Sierra de Llevant and there are more than 5 summits over 1,000m high. From easy trails to challenging tracks, Majorca offers unforgettable hiking experiences for everyone. You will stumble across picturesque mountain villages, remote coves, beaches and winding roads through pine forests. Bring hiking shoes, water and your camera!

5. Ride a vintage train
Yes, you can ride a vintage train all the way from Palma to Soller in the mountains. It’s a charming century-old train with beautiful scenery along the way. Soller is a picturesque town that should be on your list of places to visit in Majorca anyway so you might as well ride the cool vintage train from the island’s capital.
6. See extraordinary Caves
There are multiple caves you can visit in Majorca. There are Arta Caves in Capdepera, Genova Caves in Palma, Drach Caves and Hams Caves in Manacor. Amazing rock formations, underground lakes and more. Prepare to get stunned!
7. Go wine-tasting in Binissalem
Binissalem is a charming mountain town and it’s also the area where most of the local wines are produced. You may want to bring your canvas and some paint or at least your camera because the views around this sleepy town are truly inspirational. Once you got the view captured, go for a wine tasting and get all rosy and relaxed.
8. Visit the Miro Majorca Foundation
Joan Miro is a famous painter who lived and worked in Majorca for many years. At Miro Majorca Foundation you can see where he lived and admire his artwork. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, this museum also boasts beautiful sea views and in the garden, you can see sculptures made by Miro.
